Regen Wilson was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of an airline pilot and naval aviator and his wife, a former flight attendant. His life as an actor began with the role of Moses, something for which he'd been preparing all his life...all four years of it, that is. Following in the footsteps of his father, Wilson opted for military service after graduating from high school in Danville, Kentucky, and chose to pursue the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He finally received a Congressional appointment and while he was technically majoring in political science, every spare moment he had was devoted to building up the neglected cadet theatre company BlueBards, eventually becoming its president and growing it into film. Graduating from the Academy in 1998, Wilson went on to various assignments, including a deployment to Kuwait as Operation Iraqi Freedom was getting ready to launch and an assignment as the Air Force One media liaison to the White House Press Corps and service as the Secretary of the Air Force's Chief of Entertainment Industry Relations in Hollywood. All the while, he continued acting in a wide variety of roles in theatre and independent film, juggling this with his life in the service. After an honorable discharge as a captain at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, in 2006, Wilson ramped up his acting career with a steadier pace of principal roles both on camera and on stage. Dividing his time between New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC, he has continued amassing a resume of roles in film, television, commercials and industrials as well as the theatre. In 2009, he appeared as the title character in the pilot "DOG," which garnered top honors at both the Independent Television Festival in Los Angeles and the New York Television Festival. When not acting, Wilson indulges his passion for history and the outdoors.
Based on The New York Times best-selling novel, Killing Lincoln is the suspenseful, eye-opening story of the events surrounding the assassination of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
